Controlled-Low-Strength-Material (CLSM)

1. According to Appendix under the “Management Guideline for the Reuse of Industrial Waste”, the CLSM may be used in pipe trench backfills and the subgrade, subbase, base course, potholes or other backfills for public works on roads.
2. For the coarse aggregate of the CLSM, the Rotary kiln slag (R-1207) and the EAF oxidizing slag (R-1209) are used; for the fine aggregate, the Rotary kiln slag (R-1207) and the stabilized EAF reducing slag (R-1210) are used, its fabrication meets the relevant regulations under the Management Guideline for the Reuse of Industrial Waste, and the aggregate quality also meets the regulations in CNS 1240 Concrete aggregates.
3. The product quality of the CLSM shall meet the standard requirements of   “Chapter 03377 Controlled-Low-Strength-Material (CLSM)” for the public construction guide specifications of Public Construction Commission.
